After narrowly losing to British boxer Kerry Davis in round 16 of the women’s middleweight division, Ghanaian boxer Ornella Sathoud was unable to advance to the next round.
The American-based fighter got off to a strong start in round 1 before losing some momentum later on. Though she lost the fight 3-2 to her British opponent, she remained unwavering in the final two rounds.
Ornella Sathoud admitted to losing to reporter Samuel Addo in Birmingham.
“I should have pushed harder, I was trying to be more strategic and less crazy, but I think I should have kept the energy and focused more and quit trying to be too”.
