Ghana midfielder Salis Abdul Samed says the team has learnt a lot from their group stage exit of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Black Stars lost 2-0 to Uruguay in the final round game as both teams crash out from the tournament.
Andrew Ayew missed a penalty on the 21st minute as his kick was saved by Uruguay goalkeeper Sergio Rochet following a foul on Mohamed Kudus. Uruguay went on to win the game thanks to goals from Giorgio de Arrascaeta in the 26th and 32nd minutes of the game but it was not enough as both teams were out of the tournament.
“In defence,we were solid but we need to be more solid and aggressive, and the attacking should be more so we can create more scoring chances ,” Samed told Daily Graphic.
“We need to work together and be more compact when we’re defending and help each other as we did against Portugal ” ,he stated.
We’ve learnt from this tournament “, Samed concluded.
