Cameroonian International, Andre Onana announced his retirement from the Cameroon national team at the age of 26.
The 26-year-old Inter Milan goalie made it official early Morning on Friday, 23rd December that he will not continue to play for the Indomitable Lions and will support the national team as a fan.
“I will continue to support as a fan, just as the more than 27 million Cameroonians do at every match. I can only thank all those who trusted me and believed that I could add and contribute to this team”, Onana wrote.
This, therefore, puts an end to his six years of career.

Onana prematurely ending of his international career, is partly attributed to a rift he had with the indomitable lions head coach Rigobert Song, during the world cup in Qatar, which led to him leaving the lions’ base in Qatar just after their first game against Switzerland.
