Everton star Alex Iwobi sends appreciation message to fans after injury

After sustaining an injury, Alex Iwobi, a star for Everton, has addressed his fans for their wishes and promised to be back soon.

During Friday night’s FA Cup third-round loss to Manchester United, the Blues midfielder sustained an ankle injury.

In the second half at Old Trafford, Iwobi needed to be stretchered off.

Iwobi will reportedly get an ankle scan soon, according to Africatopsports, with initial concerns indicating that ligament injury might be the cause.

In minute 52, Abdoulaye Doucoure took on for the Nigerian international.

Tyrell Malacia of Manchester United made contact with Iwobi, causing the injury.

His teammates Seamus Coleman and Demarai Gray consoled him after his extended stay receiving treatment on the sidelines.

Following the setback, Iwobi has now turned to social media to address Everton supporters.

The midfielder said in his post: “Appreciate the kindness, back soon.”

Iwobi had been a key player for Everton this season before getting hurt.

The midfielder made 21 appearances across all competitions, recording one goal and six assists.
