Kumasi Asante Kotoko will be aiming to get back to winning ways when they take on Tamale City this afternoon at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in the BetPawa Premier League.
The Porcupine Warriors face their Premier League counterparts without a number of absent players. Only 18 players are available for today’s clash. Dickson Afoakwa, Isaac Oppong, Georges Mfegue, and John Tedeku, are on the injury list but Justice Blay and Nicholas Mensah are both available for selection after serving their accumulated cards suspensions.
Having dropped points in their last two games, Kotoko should have what it takes to beat Tamale City in a comfortable fashion, but they must make sure they find some offensive rhythm as the visitors will be expected to sit back and defend.
The Porcupine Warriors will trail league leaders Aduana FC by two points and a win against the Tamale-based club will certainly push them to the first position.
