U-20 AFCON: Cheetah’s performance demoralizes Benin forward Hassane Imourane

Benin forward Hassane Imourane says the Cheetahs performance in their goalless Group C draw against Tunisia was disappointing.

The midfielder was named the Man of the Match in their penultimate TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations match at the Haras El Hodoud Stadium in Alexandria.

The youngster was himself close to breaking the deadlock when his fierce effort missed the target in the half hour mark.

“To tell the truth, I’m a little bit disappointed, having chances without scoring is frustrating,” Hassane said at his post match media engagement.

“Even today we could have done something but we were not able to take our chances in the match.”

The West Africans will be seeking a place in the quarterfinals of the TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations when they face The Gambia in their last Group C match in Alexandria on Monday, 27 February.
